Please note: It's nice to see these many sites. However, some enthusiasts have made an error or two in their text or captions. For instance, some repeat historic fallacy. Others, such as the home page of Blair's site show an incorrect place name. In that case, what he calls "East Kittitas" is not. He's simply fallen into modern RR jargon of using the east/west designations of stations. The photo is the east switch at Kittitas. However, the STATION of East Kittitas was up the hill in the far distance beyond his picture. I have more. Here are a varied few to get started. All links working in these past few minutes! Note: I am not affiliated with any site listed. (However, I may know the persons involved....) Just keep these in my bookmarks for references. http://www.thebellinghambusinessjournal.com/april2008/lookingback.php http://www.milwelectric.org/ http://www.coffeecreek.info/ http://www.gallatingatewayinn.com/index.htm http://www.fairpoint.net/~ghlawson/GeneHLawsonCollection.html http://www.historylink.org/index.cfm?DisplayPage=output.cfm&File_Id=1685 http://www.archive.org/details/danger_lights http://www.northwestrpm.com/Greg_Lussier.htm http://www.trainweb.org/milwaukee/roster.txt http://themilwaukeeroad.50megs.com/ http://www.wwvrailway.com/milwauke.htm http://www.artmt.com/milwauk.htm Boxcab E50

Thanks for posting these links, folks. Ken, not to worry about inaccuracies. I have a job where I need to corroborate just about everything someone claims with evidence or data, so no worries there.

I see my bookmarks list is missing some sites. Wonder what happened there... And I'm also seeing a few non-working links this morning. Guess I'll need to do some searching. Boxcab E50
NOTE: Some of these are libraries, or historical society sites. Use their search functions, and you will bring up many, many pages of photos! Key words such as Milwaukee, CMSt.P&P, etc, etc. A couple are tourist RR operations which run on ex-Milw rails, or use ex-Milw equipment. ********** http://www.geocities.com/bones_41/Railphotos.html http://www.weedengraphics.com/pics/railroad/bj_depot/ http://www.steamtrainride.com/ http://www.chicagoswitching.com/v5/ http://www.copperrange.org/ http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/collections/habs_haer/ http://history.denverlibrary.org/images/index.html http://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/ http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/milw/milw.html http://coffeedrome.com/hiawatha.html http://content.lib.washington.edu/imls/kcsnapshots/index.html http://www.depotsbyjohn.com/ http://search.tpl.lib.wa.us/images/defaultn.asp http://orion.math.iastate.edu/jdhsmith/term/slusmilw.htm http://www.geocities.com/middlewest.geo/CPRSWLineHomePage.html http://www.users.on.net/~kelly.loyd/ http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Styx/8859/index.html http://home.comcast.net/~skytop35/ http://collections.mnhs.org/visualresources/search.cfm?bhcp=1 http://www.his.state.mt.us/research/photo/collections.asp http://www.mrsr.com/

Nixon's stuff is great. He was an interesting fellow. Friendly. Helpful. If I asked him a question, he'd end up digging out some pictures and just giving them to me. Would not accept any compensation. Some bookmarks I had no longer work. And I could not Google them up again. So that lost 9-10 more possibilities. But there should be enough to keep folks busy for a few moments. Boxcab E50
I picked up a DVD while I was visiting The museum of the Rockies in Bozeman last summer. It is titled 'Rail Photos of Ronald Nixon" and is basically a live slide show being presented "by his friend and co-worker" It really is quit good and the narrator keeps your interest. It was recorded at a NP Railway Historical Association meeting in Auburn WA. He covers NP but also a lot of MILW. Neat stuff..... Ken, thanks for the link to "The Milwaukee Road West", I somehow missed that website in all of my Google searches over the years, neat pictures.
