A friend has posed an interesting question today. Did the Wabash have any connection to the Milwaukee Road at Excelsior Springs, Missouri?

Excelsior Springs was a hot spring/spa destination prior to the depression years. I know that the Milwaukee advertised it.

    Anyone?

    Andy-

I did some further digging yesterday. Followed a suggestion, and this morning came the following:

"No, the Wabash did not interchange with the Milwaukee Road at Excelsior Springs. You are correct about the branch to the hot springs."

Looks like my question is answered!

Ken..you're almost right..once I get space..Missouri and Iowa will be the section I'm going to try modeling...as for Excelsior springs..both lines did traverse the town...as did Milw. and Rock Island (or Soo)I forget which through Chillicothe..the bridge crossing Hwy 36 still has the Milw. placards ON BOTH SIDES..YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!
