How about sharing some of your photos? I can't seem to see enough steam photos. Tell us more about your experience with the steamer.

    Yup! :D

I'll need to plug in my favorite 261 video tonight. I may eventually wear it out!

Guys...I have tried and tried, and I can't seem to get them to show up! There is something I'm just not getting! Ok, the best thing was, I got there right when the display opened, and I just strolled right into the cab. The first thing I said was "Oh my God..its HOT!" The engineer said that it gets much hotter when its out on the rails! 17,000 gallons of water, 25+ tons of coal...good enough for abot 300 miles. I asked about rain getting into the cab, and he said that it makes a huge amount of fog!. The 261 has an "all-weather" cab, which comes in handy at times, I'm sure! The engineer said that there was no way a human could keep up with the coal supply, so there is an augar between the tender and the engine. Just pretty damned cool stuff!

C40, do you have them on a website of your own or just saved to files on your computer? If they are on a website, just type [IMG] and the photo will show up. [IMG]
An even better idea is to open an account with us here at Railimages. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the railimages link. It's free, and you can post your photos not only here but anywhere else on the web. ;)
I guess you can tell from the above that I would really enjoy seeing your photos. PS, who was the engineer in the cab while you were there?

I'm not sure who the engineer was, both times I got in the cab, it was a different dude that got in with me!LOL! I think I'll try the railimages thing, I'd like to share my twisted view of railroading with ya'll!
