I am a MICRO-TRAINS collector. Special-Runs are my area. I am glad to see the retail prices back on the cars. On the insert is fine with me, now if people will not try to mark out the prices, this will work out. If you have a MICRO-TRAINS car, with a price sticker from MICRO-TRAINS on it. DO NOT MARK OUT THE PRICE ON THE LABEL OR REMOVE THE LABEL! DOING SO WILL CAUSE THE VALUE OF THE CAR TO DROP!

i take em right out of the box and put em on the track and run em. sclair cars, mopac railboxes, and all go on the rails. i dont care if the labels are marked out, if you buy them to run who cares, if buy them to look at , it's no wonder the people that really want ones to run can't get them.i also love just ripping of the shrink wrap on all sets. man if you would see all the mt's i have to paint, especially all of those 60' boxes.

Actually, they are putting the price back in due to the demand by dealers: They were forced to look up the price on each item and pricetag it themselves. Or else, retail customers were constantly asking them 'How much is this?'

EGADS! Have you no shame? [IMG]

I'm with you Mitch, if it's bought, it runs. I do have a couple of cars that are of interest only - either I like them (the Xmas series) or they represent something I have attended (convention, etc). These don't run.

    Gary.

Boy are we Naughty! [IMG] I weather 'em and take the roof walks off! [IMG] Can't have roof walks on box cars that run today, that would make 'em Outlaws! [IMG] Yup, it's true. If I buy 'em, I WEATHER 'EM AND RUN 'EM! [IMG] You should see the looks I get from the "Collectors"! [IMG]

I guess I should say I am a COLLECTOR and a RUNNER. I always get at least 3 of each MICRO-TRAINS car. One to keep, one to run, and one to trade/sell if somebody wants the car bad enough. This way I can make my hobby help pay for itself, and blow other collectors minds when they see my weathered MT #20370 West India Fruit boxcar, worth approx. +$500, and other high value cars, running on the INDIANA RAILWAY. If you have any early KADEE cars you might borrow a collectors guide and check the value of the early cars.
