Micro-Trains conversion

    I have a couple of Red Caboose hoppers that need Micro Trains trucks.
    I been a long time since I purchase some don't remember the #.
    I'm thinking 1035's

    Hi Don, Do those cars have 100 ton trucks or 70 ton trucks? If 70 ton trucks you need the Micro-Trains 1030 trucks, other wise you'll need the 1035's if they have 100 ton trucks.

    Hi Don, When you look at the truck side frame of the Red Caboose truck, in the middle of the side frame can you see what looks like 3 springs or 2 springs? 3 visible springs are 100 ton trucks, 2 visible springs are 70 ton trucks.

    I believe on the prototype a 100 ton truck, there are actually 9 springs in the truck side frame but you can only see the 3 on the outside.

    Had to put on my magnifiers, they are three springs.
