I have read several topics on the micro switches uses with turnouts. How is the best why to mount these. I want to keep them close to the track. Mounting them at the edge of the layout won't be possible. My layout is a sheet of 1/2 plywood with 1 1/2 inches of insulation on top. I'm looking at using the switch with a short rod attached. Thanks
