Are the old style ME turnout throwbars insulated between the two switch points? I'm looking at converting these from power routing to "all-live" by insulating the frog and running jumper wires from the stock rails to the switch points but the throw bar looks to be all metal therefore causing a short circuit?
I think I found the answer to this. Looks like I need to replace the throwbar with a circuit board throw bar and install a gap in the copper.
