Does anyone have any info on the Michigan Northern Railroad (MIGN). I am looking for specifically for info on their paint schemes and rolling stock roster. Thanks and God bless.
Having lived it that area before, during and after the MIGN, I don't recall anything other then black on black or any other color that the loco was in when they received it. I think that most of the locos were just patched, but not really sure at this time. Strange how the memory recalls many things and drops others. A sign of age I guess. LOL I have to admit I was not really paying attention to them at the time. Most of their running was done during hours that I would not been able to see them. Gary
Thanks for the info Gary. That is what I expected, but I haven't been able to find any info too support it.
Speaking of memory- What trackage were they operating? Wasn't there some former Ann Arbor and Pennsy involved?
Yes, they operated on former Ann Arbor and Pennsy trackage as well as some former C&O trackage. Essentially they operated between Grand Rapids (Comstock Park, north of Grand Rapids) and Mackinaw City, including both freight and passenger service.
