    Hello all,

I saw a picture of one of these coal dumpers in use on an HO layout. My poor attempt to contact the model owner has failed. Can't seem to find the gents e-mail link.

I'd like to build one of these operating coal dumpers. I've been searching the library of congress HABS/HAER web-site only to find schematics that are to big to print.Even tried the US patent office, nothing.

Do you have a decent drawing of one of these coal dumpers ?

Thank you for any help you can provide...

Why can't you reduce the schematics you found to a printable size?

    Hello Mike,

The schematics are in a very large file. The computer I use at work won't handle all the data. When I try to downsize the photo, the printer only prints one piece of it.

Below is a link to the library of congress HABS/HAER web-site.This is what I've been racking my brain trying to print out.

I take it you are after the High res picture(s) which are TIFF format - and pretty big (near 20MB).

If you want it printed on a single A4 sheet I'd think the .jpg they give might do the job, but if you want more detail then I'd be looking to split that big picture into maybe 4 parts to print a quarter on each of four pages and stick them together (unless you have a humungous big printer).

I've downloaded one and had a play saving it as a jpg. At 100% quality it comes out about 7.5MB, but at 95% it still looks fine and is only about 3.5MB. If that last one would suit you, tell me which picture(s) you want and I'll convert and post it somewhere you can download it from. Or I can split it into four for you if you don't think your work PC is up to it.

    Thank you Mike!!!!

Yes that would be fine. If you could put them on a site somewhere on the net. I'd sure as heck download them!!!

I used another puter ar work and used a program to re-size the drawings. They came out fuzzy and are not much use for detail.

Please if you would ,post them somewhere,I'd be in debt.

    Thank you again.

OK. Which one(s) do you need? There are several on that page that look to be different structures (ignoring the photos). I don't want to spend time on ones you don't want/need.

Do you want it/them as one big .jpg or split in quarters?
