Martin Hansen announced yesterday that the McCloud River 2-6-2 No. 25 was sold to the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, and will be trucked there in March. She is in running condition and will probably be featured on the OCSR steam runs, along with Heisler No. 2. She's a good looking engine and should be a big asset to Aaron Zorko and the other members of OCSR who are really making good things happen there. Rails NW will run two steam specials, in July and October. Mark your calendars.
Well, I am sad to have see nthe demise of McCloud, but at least this 2-6-2 won't just be sitting somewhere rusting into the dirt.
