    Ray,
Yes, they'll work, with a bit of effort. The Märklin trucks use a larger hole for the bolster pin than AZL or MTL. You'll need to use a collar in the hole or fill and drill a new hole.

    Ray,
Good question. I want to say #70 but don't trust my memory. If nobody jumps in here with the number, I'll measure a few over the weekend.

    Ray,
I measure 61 to 62 mil for the half dozen unused bolster pins I have. SO I think you'd want to use a #52 bit. Also watch out for the bolster pin position: not all Märklin trucks are in the prototypically correct position. As I recall the truck instructions will have position dimensions. Let us know how they turn out.

PS: Ray, I just looked at the ebay site. It seems that your link points to HO scale cars, not Z. However this discussion is still valid for the Z scale passenger cars.

Hi Mark, thanks for the help as always! Thanks for the heads up. I will double check to make sure I order the correct trucks. Looking forward to this little project.

    Best,

    Ray
