Hi just receive my new Marklin Pacific loco. [IMG]
I'm pretty new with z-loco steamers, I found that it is it running weird. Is it normal that it run a full rotation of the whells and then it want to stop, always at the same place, at slow speed it make looks the loco like the real thing, like a chug-a-log soud, but at higher speed it makes jerks the wagons back and forth, it looks like it wants to stall at each full rotation.
    Is that normal?

That is not normal. I would return it for a replacement, or contact a Marklin rep for servicing. It sounds like the drivers need to be quartered by your description.

Bend the running gear! Hummmm? Sounds easy enough, Thanks Henrik for your reply. Anyone could elaborate? Returning the box is not realy an option, and I am sure I can repair it myself, I just need some little orientation to bend theis running gear.
    Thanks

I am trying to find a pacific shematics, or maintenance drawing, so that we can pin point to the running gear, and to make sure that we are talking about the same thing.
    Thanks

ok, I understand, but that is not the problem, the side bars are free of obstructions.

I've uploaded a small 3.6 woo woo woo avi file, it show my problem. I took out the worm gear to make the 3 wheels free, and it show that after a full rotation, the wheels are jamming somewhere, but I'm not able to find where the jam is comming from.

If anyone knows or had this problem before, please feel free to give me some advice.

    Thanks

you have to click on Free, on the bottom of the page, then wait 20 sec and enter the code it gives you to download the file. I know, it is complicated, but I share files for free with alot of other peoples using rapid share.

    GOT IT!! [IMG]
It was the steam piston cylinder that did not have enough room for the shaft to enter properly; I had to drill the front of the piston cylinder.

Wow, at that price I would have thought that Marklin quality control would have been better. [IMG]
