I know this should be in the Inspection Pit, but Seeing as Marklin just got their hands on LGB I felt it more appropriate in the G-Scale section.

I couldn't agree more, I like G scale related subjects being kept in one area. Our G scale section is not that big right now anyway, so lets go ahead and keep those G scale subjects here. I don't like bouncing around different areas anyway to find out different things

To me, Marklin was never as good as a seller product wise as LGB which I'm sure Marklin thought buying LBG would boost their sales, but it really never happened and just put themselves further into debt. I wonder if they will still produce all of those LGB trains that were promised now. Plus Marklin was suppose to make a announcement at the toy fair in Germany and now they are not even showing up, what a shame. LGB items on ebay will soon shoot up big time now.

Someone in the Inspection pit said this is basically because Marklin overcharges for their quality while companies like Riverossi do not. I guess I couldn't agree more with that statement. Being a former HO Modeler, I can appreciate that.

I may not be a HO person, but I do know Riverrossi is like the top of the line model with great detail. In comparison to G scale, I would have to pick Accucraft as the top of the line as far as electric version trains, Marklin doesn't even come close as far as I'm concerned. I have seen and really like those Riverrossi HO models.

Only if the economy will enable that. I think you will have to be willing to hold on to them for a few years to really see the prices shoot up. Right now it's a buyers market if you have the extra cash and a job you will be in the drivers seat and you will beable to pick and choose and set the price if sellers are plentyful and need cash. They only way I see prices going up is if the sellers dry up and few things come on the auction block but like you see on e-bay that is not the case or trend.

I guess it would also depend on the rarity of the items aswell.
