Hi, this is my first attempt using the Manual Settings with my first Digcam.
The idea is that the first car should be as sharp as the last one, which I could not acheive in the Macro mode.

If that is using manual mode, I would say you have it cracked [IMG]

    Thanks Alan.

Paul, I did not use a flash. There is a window behind the bulkhead flatcar and it is the afternoon sun reflecting on the background.
The picture is still a bit dark, I guess I should use more exposure time to make it looking better.
I still have to learn a lot to operate this camera, but I am pleased with the first results.

    Remember this is N-scale.

    Paul,

I find with my camera I use a shutter speed of 1 second but you need to use a self timer and tripod to reduce camera shake.

Here is a picture of a mini tripod I recently received

    Thanks Colonel.

That mini tripod looks like a must have in the near future.
Love your bridge, looks realy great, not to mention your intermodal freight.
I am just a starter and need a long way to go, but all things need time I guess.

I included a picture of my Kato RDC units.
    Shutter speed 4 seconds, diaphragm f 8.0 .

The minitripod is very cheap I paid $10aus which is around $5US, and it is great for taking modelling pics.

Here are a couple of pics I took yesterday of my BNSF locos which are about to be repainted to MOPAC
