Magnetic couplers

    On the Micro Trains or Magna-Matic couplers, the wires are copper and unpainted. If you paint them will they still function properly or will the paint interfere with the magnetic properties that enable uncoupling. What do you recommend painting them with?

    They are copper iradated (SP) steel. Copper in non-magnetic :D Tis OK to paint.
