After a day of trying to get logged in properly i'm in. I'm finding that tapatalk is not the way to register for a forum.

I'm a computer programmer with a Raspberry pi, an arduino and a 20 year old 4x8 nscale layout buried in the basement. Once I get the layout dug out I'm converting to DCC then hunting down the local Ntrak club. My ulimate goal is a layout I can use at home and take pieces of it to meets.

Most of my current rolling stock is Chessie so hope to be modeling areas along the Potomac river.

Welcome, I use a Raspberry Pi to run JMRI and thus can program my decoders, plus keep track of engines and rolling stock, and as an interface to allow smart phone control of engines. You should have fun!

The Potomac does have some beautiful scenery. Is Harper's Ferry on your "I gotta model that" list?

The club I joined has several Harper's ferry modules but I'm sure I can find something to add. I'll probably start along the c&o canal, maybe point of rocks too.
