just went on micro-trains web site and found they don't list a conversion for the intermountian ACF 2-bay hopper, would the 1035 for the 4-bay be the same? could use some help from the experts (you guys)
I think yes. My models are equipped with Atlas 100-ton trucks, which have the prototypically bigger wheels. It is a matter of preference, I have used the Atlas 100ton trucks for the IM covered hoppers. Nevertheless MTL trucks have the advantage of MTL couplers, which I prefer for their function. My IM box cars, tank cars etc. are all converted to MTL trucks now, with low profile wheels. Have a nice weekend, Christoph
