I've been reading posts about differences in code 55 track and code 80 (I think it's 80?). Anyway, if I'm reading this right, code 55 is the preferred type, but if it is used, it is necessary to change all wheels on cars & engines to low profile. Is this always the case? BTW, I've been following posts mostly in N scale. Is there any type of track out there which is considered "good and realistic" that standard wheels will run on OK? Thanks...

You only need to change the wheels on cars with very large flanges, but usually only on older cars and Micro-Trains products. Most of the other modern cars will be allright. If you use PECO code 55 you won't have this problem,It is my understanding that Micro-Engineering's code 55 does not have this problem either.
