Hi all. I have done all kind of searches online for te Powhatan arrow. The only thing that come up (besides a small Wikipidia description) is sites about the actual indian or other indians and tribes.

What Im looking for is a timetable or something else that will list the station stops for the train.

Also, Im looking for the same info for the Pocahantas and the Cavaliere.

    Thanks All

    Dave,

Have you tried the N&W Historical Society (www.nwhs.org)?

I own several timetables from several different years, and the schedules changed over time ...

    I recommend you get this:

    Hi all

    Thanks for your input.

N&W, thanks for the link to the book, however, the only information I need is a list of the station stops. I cant justify spending $$ on a book that I'm not going to read except to copy a list of cities. But thanks anyway!

Any year in the 40's to 50's

Mainline Modeler had a series of articles covering all of the cars of the 1949 re-equipping of the Arrow in the early 1990's, you may still be able to find the issues at swap meets, etc.

I first rode the nos. 25-26 in 1960 with my granddad, who had recently retired as a conductor on the N&W, on a trip from Bluefield,WV to Cincinnati, OH. This was right after the N&W allowed pass riders on the train. My last trip was in January 1969 when the train had the ex-Wabash domes but had been downgraded into a local mail train and usually ran with a long string of 89' auto parts boxcars on the rear.
