Looking for "new" locomotive for sale.

The tourist railroad I work for is looking for a new locomotive, possibly for late this year/next year. It needs to be at least 1750 hp(GP-9ish), 4 axle only, low-nose; if possible. I've looked around the net, but I figured you all might have some better websites for me to look through. Any help you can give me will be much appreciated.

Norfolk Southern seems to have stockpiled a boatload of GP38's... I don't know if they'd part with any at a reasonable price.

I guess you could always check eBay.

This is why I think TrainBoard is so great, there tends to always be someone here that will help with a problem and enjoy your modeling and photographic efforts.

 

Wheeling & Lake Erie used to put used equipment on their webpage. Might want to check that periodically if nothing else turns up.
