I am looking for information on an obscure Passenger car made for The CP. It is 1 of the first Dome cars made. Only 4 were made 1 in 1902 and 3 in 1906. I found a reference to an article about Wood passenger cars in the December 1985 issue of Passenger Train Journal By Karl Zimmerman. If anyone has the mag and/or can find me a copy of the article it would be greatly appreciated. Looking to try to scratch build 1 of these cars. I have found a primitive set of drawings on it, but I am looking for as much documentation as possible. Looking to use this towards my MMR Cars certificate. Thanks Richard
I don't even know how I ran across the image in the first place. Westwood made an HO Craftsman kit of the 1st one at some point. It didn't have the windows in the roof. I was looking at trying to do 1 in N scale. Might even do 1 in HO if I can find 1 of the kits that won't hurt me too much to buy. Later Richard
i think model railroad or model railroad craftsman had drawings of these cars in 70s i remember seeing pictures of them i lost my copy in a flood in the 80s
I need to go through my Model Railroaders then. I don't have any Railroad Craftsmans from the 70's. I found a couple images of the floor plans. 2 different floor plans. 1 for the first car and another for the other 3. Yahoo images. Pretty grainy though.
