Oh wow, I didn’t know about the sound. The funny thing is I just placed an order there only minutes ago and was looking for something to add because the shipping was so expensive and I decided to add some decoders instead. :tb-sad:

I've had these down to 2" radius, couplers arent long enough to make it around the curve, but the motor unit will go.

I'd be curious on the trolley if the motor could be in one unit and wheel pickups and decoded in the second unit. Anyone have any idea? Have't take mine apart and have never installed a decoder

The motor unit is self contained. the other car is a trailer. The Kato chassis are so easy to modify the make the perfect first conversions.

Just thinking about it, I don't know why you couldn't; at least in the train consist. The power unit is in one coach and then you could put the decoder and pickups in the other coach.
