    Here are some pictures of the Durango and Silverton taken about 4 years ago, I finally got them developed after all this time. This trip is what made the narrow gauge bug bite me and I have not looked back since. Something about steam and mountains its just right.

    It's easy to see how the pioneering, head west bug would bite people. The scenery is beautiful. (So are those trains!) Sure love it when I am in in similar setting. It's hard to leave!

    You just have to actually be there to fully understand the thrill it is to experience that ride! Words can never provide you with the feel, smells, noise, and sense of distance that ride does for you! And its real steam too!
