If this were a leap year, I'd post tomorrow. But as today is the last day of February, for 2005.....

Twenty five years ago, the Milwaukee Road died west of Miles City, Montana. Or more accurately, was done in deliberately. But that's for another topic. [IMG]

February 29th, 1980, was the last full day of operations. At 0001 hours, March 1, 1980, the infamous embargo went into effect.

Rest in peace dear friend. Time has allowed the truth to be revealed!

    :( :( :(

If you do the math, The Milwaukee went down only 6 years ago since February 29 only happens every 4 years.

    Pat-

Keep working on it! Maybe you can come up with a formula, that will allow us to roll the calendar back to the 1960's! Sounds good to me!

I feel your pain. But, any day I wish, the Milwaukee Road rides again at my house [IMG]

well, going by my theory that anyone born on Feb. 29 only has a birthday every 4 years, if we go back to the beginning of the whole leap-year conspiracy..we're ALL A LOT younger than we think
