As with the old version of the board, I still must check "remember me" in order for a post to be accepted. This is not intuitive for a new member. This may have been the problem for the "Goodbye" poster on the N scale board, though clearly he did not bother with contacting support, either. Also "remember me" looks like a request to autosave the password.

Consider eliminating this requirement if you can. On other boards I'm on, once you are signed in, you can post.

Alternately, note the requirement as part of the "you are not signed in" message. It is appreciated that the autosave is set up to preserve posts that have been done on the fly without "properly" signing in.

Sorry but this is not a problem that most people have. I honestly believe that the problem you describe, if I am interpreting correctly what you are saying, is caused by security settings in either your browser, anti-virus, or some other program that purports to protect you from intrusive cookies, spyware, etc.

I do not have to check "Remember Me" in order to post. At work, I access TrainBoard from any one of almost 100 computers. I do not check that box on those computers but I do leave it checked on my computers at home. I don't want the computers at work to "remember me" because there is more risk that someone would access the site than at home where there seems to be zero risk.

When I do not check the box, I simply have to sign in each time I close and then open the browser. At home I leave the box checked and I never have to sign in. This is the designed functioning.

If it is functioning any differently for you, I believe that it is on your end (somehow), although, I am always open to alternate opinions.

Understood. BTW the solution was given by an admin here, so at least the posting problem is known and is solvable.
