    Morning,

Last night I was noodling around with one of the test shots of the New 60' Flat Car we are releasing in February and converted it to a JTTX Log Flat we see here almost every day. This is a first try at it, I think I need to move the uprights in one pocket on both ends, but it was a fun project. I used .030 Evergreen square stock for the uprights and .010 strip for the attaching plates. I wanted to simulate bark and while making dinner for the kids last night noticed ground pepper looked just like old wet tree bark. So, I put down some dabs of white glue here and there and added the pepper. I think it spiced up the model quite a bit )...sorry had to do that! Anyway, a couple of these without logs and a few with them will make an interesting load for our CORP trains. Every morning we have three or four engines pulling a mixed freight of Log cars, Bulkhead and Centerbeam flats with Plywood, Old SP Boxcars and mixed in some really beat up Golden West Boxes as well. Thanks to Robert, I can do the GW's pretty soon. The second image is my MOW Gon/flat with the Searails Tractor.

Anyway, this flat offers some great conversion possiblities, more to come.

    Cheers

    NO FAIR!!

    Joe,

It's just not fair that you get to kitbash cars that we can't hold in our hands yet. I think you should AT LEAST wait until the release date to show us these mods. :shade:

    You're killing me.

By the way, nice work, as usual.

    Log Car

    Sorry :eek:P

Hey, just trying to get the juices flowing you know...

I would love to see someone do decals for the decks making them look distressed and multi colored. I like doing it to my stuff, but most folks have a life and don't have time to do that.)
