I shot this at Chermurgic today. Alas, the owner of the yard was not around to give me better access to shoot.

Fallen BN, SP, UP, and CCT locomotives, as well as a former passenger car can be seen in this shot.

Wow! SP1533 is in that series of the original EMD six axle locomotives. SD7 IIRC. B&O bought them about the same time. Very unusual find.

    Try this.

Turlock, California. One of the very earliest stops on the Central Pacific Railroad.

Which CCT unit is it? It looks like 44(yellow Topeka Cab, third unit in). That sucks, that means they have almost gotten rid of everything but the SW1500s.

Just to the West of Turlock on the old Tidewater Southern. Owners of those locos is Matt Monson and Jim Bruggere. Reporting marks BUGX. They also have locos, SP SD9s and a A-B pair of F units, stored at Schellville on the NWP. Collection also include an ex SSW GP40 and several other units that are not pictured above.

Is that BN GP the ex #1819? If so she was to become #45 on the Sierra at one point.

Chemurgic is well west of Turlock, off of faith home road. It is WAY out in the country.

I didn't get a chance to talk to the owners of that yard, or get any closer shots. I am hoping to do so in the near future. I did get a few good shots of the equipment of the Turlock and Western, which is a private rail owned and operated by Chemurgic.

It was originally part if the Tidewater Southern's Hilmar Branch. Now, it is a short stub.

The only red one I remember was a former CCT loco, I don't know the type, however.

S Faith Home RD, & W Harding RD...
Looks like there is a pic from Chris Butts seems like the GP's & SD's had thier DB sections cut out of them...
There is a neat BN SW12??? cab sitting in plain view!!! Ah found the long hood for the SW too, a #3XX. A BN RS11 long hood, and a BN GP9?
An old SP tankcar, plenty of SP and SF power too.
    A CCT NW2.
