I'm new to Trainboard so maybe this has already been hashed over. However I got the referral from a TrainBoard post.
Anyhow, LOCOLINC looks very interesting. No blocking to contend with... just hook up & run trains.
This LOCOLINC product had a booth at the recent NMRA Show in St. Louis (under the Corp. name of Keithco). If you happened to visit that booth would you please share your impressions about what you saw.
Care to tell us about the PROS & CONS of LOCOLINC and also SOUNDLINC, as you understand it???
    Check it out: www.locolinc.com

While I did not study each data sheet, I think it is a great concept. However, you will be handicaped to a certain degree IF you have any plans for "guest locos" on your layout. Plus if you take your loco to a club with DC or DCC you will not be able to run without some modifications. Plus, I noticed the system pricing was higher than DCC but most notable was at $80 per receiver compared to $20 for a DCC decoder. This additional cost on 40 engines is $2400. I can use that money for other things like building, rolling stock and scenic materials. Another thing to note is the support offered by the company. Many concepts sound good on paper but can they back it up with proof. Ask for contacts who have purchased the system. Do some research but for my bang of the buck I will stay with the recently aquired DCC system by brand "D".
