I like the detail where you split the tracks and used two tunnel portals like the real railroads do. Double track tunnels are very rare, because you need to remove a LOT of rock for nothing if you need to go just a bit wider. The blue backdrop is nice! Try putting a spacer between the backdrop and the layout to stop shadows from falling on the "sky" Tony Burzio San Diego, CA
Thanks Guys. A spacer would be nice. My wife and child really like it. Only two other people have seen it, when it was all brown, they said pretty cool. It hides in the basement. Here is some roadwork, still wet. Please excuse the tornado. Loco1999
Loco, Once again excellent shots only one suggestion, have you thought about adding weeds along the side of the track?
Loco, Here is an example of what I did, I added clumps of foilage just to make the track look inconsistant like the real thing. As you can see they represent weeds and small scrub on both sides of the track.
Loco1999: The JJJ&E has alot of clump foliage and weeds near the mainlines.... Take a look at some of the photo's.... Stay cool and run steam...
Colonel, Thanks for the photo. Bob, Thanks, I revisited your picturetrail photos. I'll post some more photos soon. Thanks, Loco1999
Stop it you guys! I am nowhere near to getting around to scenic detail on my new layout yet. Wonderful pictures, and lots of inspiration when I do mine
Loco 1999 That scenery looks fantastic. I like all the pictures, but specially the first picture on this page is just fantastic. Jesper
