Ok, I belive I know the answer to this allready, but, is the SD45-2 the same length as an SD45? also, are SD45-2B's the same?
Nope, dash 2 SD's are slightly longer than pre dash 2's. The SD45 shares a frame with the SD40, SD39, SD38 and the SD45-2 shares one with the SD40-2, SD39-2, SD38-2. A loco converted to a B unit shouldn't be any shorter than it was previously. HTH
