    Howdy all,
Was wondering if someone might be able to help me with the ID of the Holmes-Eureka Lumber #4 Climax in the Roots of Motive Power collection in Willits,CA?

What I need to know is builder # or if this was ex Pacific Lumber #38. The RMP site does not have any info. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Nevermind, just answered my own question. Found it on this cool site:
    Climax Locomotives

So I guess, just enjoy the pic. :D

    John-

I was just going to send you that same link! So what was the answer?

Did you find a way to search that web site? Without spending hours......? If so, I'd like to see what the have for Preston Mill Company #1, #2.

Yep, looked it up by owner. That gave me the builder #. I already had the builder # of Pacific Lmbr #38 and they do match. Very cool cause now I can add that pic to my "P" roster page on my Foothill Rails site.

    Boxcab--
once you have the builder #, you can search the roster to get more info.

Finally had some time to check out that site. After some searching, as I did not have builder numbers, I found the two PMC locos. And was quite surprised.

I knew the two men who last owned that operation. And what the site shows for PMC #2, is very different from what they told me!

Think I'll send an e-mail to the fellow on that site. And see if he can tell me anything further.
