According to the March 2001 Edition of Eisenbahn Kurier magazine Life-Like will be producing BL-2's and C-Liners for the USA during the 2001 production year. There was no mention of specific road names. Eisenbahn Kurier is a well respected German magazine which is dedicated to information on both models and prototypes. The ad is actually the Brawa ad which appears in the inside back cover. Brawa is Life-Like's European distribution partner.
LifeLike seems to be in a rut with the full width car body type locomotives. Exceptions of course are the GP 20 and 38 and the SW9. I wish they would make a line of switchers like the Baldwins and FM's and other makers. Some of these are still chuggin away on short lines and private lines today. With the Lifelike drive these would be a real nice fit in the present day "need list" for N scale.
I woudl certainly buy a cuple Baldwin diesel switchers IF they were to become available. Walthers makes a baldwin switcher (the type I want) but not in N scale (yoohoo, HO'ers )
