I check for new N-Scale products online daily, but this one blew by too quickly. Yesterday morning I checked BLW and there was no mention of the new Life-Like 2-8-8-2 on the new products page. This morning I check and they have already came and gone! Now thats what I call a "Limited Run"! What do you guys think about this development?
I ordered mine fdrom BLW on January 21, 2002 and so far I don't have any confirmation that I will get one. According to BLW one of their major distributors [suppliers] did not get any. Reviews I had seen thus far say the engine is light and does not pull very well.
I have heard that they may still just be trickling in to dealers. I have not seen them at my LHS yet. Thanks for the tip MagicMan, N Scale Suppy's site usually has lots of extra info. They had not updated their site in over 2 weeks, so I'm heading over now to see what they say.
I was at my LHS today, and the owner had probably 6-10 of these, and handed me one to look at, and I must say I am impressed! Unfortunately I don't have the $215 to spend right now, and N&W isn't exactly the road I model.
