Just recieved the LGB Rio Grande #50 switch engine I made a deal on. Now, I'm wondering how, or IF possible, it is to add Airwire R/C and/or sound to said locomotive? Have Airwire and R/c in two Aristo GP40's, with plans to add to USA ALCo PA and USA NW-2 locomotives also. any information appreciated. Thanks. Keith
I researched the switcher and according to LGB/LGBoA the unit does in fact have a DCC Interface board on it. This is the only information I could turn up for you and it involves the MTS System not the Airwire system: MTS into LGB Switcher I don't know if this information should help you adapt to the airwire system or not, but this is the best I could find for you.
