Well, since you asked... Well, since you asked.... I should have millions of container pics, since most of my railfanning is on Cajon Pass, but alas, I find them dull. Here are a few decent ones. I also just put some empties in a folder for another thread http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showgallery.php?cat=1477
from the same vantage point Hemi got the shot at the top of this page: Stacker on Track 2, taken from just above Track 3. Shot taken motly for the scenery, and to emphasize just how transitory all our technology and power really is when compared to this rock we're orbiting on. Well, that and the stack cars........
I had to study that shot a bit--there's a baretable on #2 track right in front of the stack on #1 track....
After further review.......yep, you're right- that IS a baretable on 2. Tough to make out at first glance. Still, a nice day to shoot that day (even if I didn't catch my wind for a while ) These aren't stacks, but I thought I'd include them just the same: NB Roadrailer leaving Macon early on a frosty morning, as the song goes, bound for Atlanta.
Ahem, does that mean railroads will "drown" trucks.....drum roll please. Sorry, couldn't resist........ :embarassed:
Why does the nursery rhyme Ding dong dell, trailer in the well (or something close to it) come to mind?:teeth: :teeth:
