Thanks, Don... I thought it was a pretty good catch,,, I have seen quite a few "fallen flags" lately, however, most have been restenciled with other reporting marks... Harold
Harold, could that be the last one? (C&O) It will get boring (and is) when all the remaining fallen flags paint disappears. July 17, 1990. Hoboken, NJ. [ March 06, 2006, 05:39 PM: Message edited by: Don Rickle ]
Not exactly..... I also caught this one (rather hastily) in the same train: I also saw an "original" Norfolk Southern hopper on a grain train that had the large "NS" initials (very faded) plus the reporting marks had been changed... Harold
Norfolk Southern Top Gon 27895: I just went through all 10 pages of this thread. Wow, what a lot of cool looking hoppers we've all caught! Lots of modeling ideas...
Sorry Steve, hadn't spotted your message. Try here - it's the JHA, they have their kit in ARC paint which was what they were built in, the Hanson paint is from a late 90's refurbishment. http://steam.to/nsprays/wagons.htm
Selma, NC, 26Mar06. This is slightly east of the CSX-NS diamonds in Selma (mid-Atlantic, east coast, USA). I had never seen one of these; this one is ragged, but a good one to model.
Harold: I though at first that I had another picture of your same old timer. Looks like another number to me. This was from 03/23 in Lexington.
What to do with those extra ACF two-bay center flow hoppers.......Arkansas & Missouri is using this one for sand-hauling service. Shot at Van Buren, AR, 4-3-06. Another two-bay hopper converted for sand service for A&M. Company service ballast hoppers on the Borie Cutoff, heading westbound - in the background, standard 100-ton hoppers in coal train service in E/B train on Track 1. Borie, WY, October, 2005.
