Do you need a seperate power line for the decoder or can you hook it up to the track power line? I am asking this because of the diagram and reading the manual after downloading one.

    Alan:

You use trackpower for the LS150 and a separate power source.

The LS150 uses a track input to get it's signal from the rails.

The manual says you should use a seperate power source for the AC inputs to the LS150.

It would probably work to connect the LS150's AC inputs to the track, but the manual doesn't say this is allowed, so if you do this, you're doing it at your own risk. I recommend you contact Lenz to find out if this is allowed.

(Other Lenz products I own with seperate AC inputs do indicate they can be connected to either the track or an AC power supply.)
