Can you control two switches (Peco with PL-10 motors) with one circuit of the LS150, throwing each switch at the same time? I tried it and it looks like either the circuits cannot take the load or the xformer is too small. I suspect the circuit load more than the xformer.

I could use a relay, as I have 6 parallel staging tracks that could be easily served by one controller, if I can find an easy and cheap way to carry the load.

    Thoughts Ideas?

    Best regards,

    JB

One circuit will control one turnout. You have 6 separate controls on each Lenz LS150, one for a turnout.

Stay cool and run steam.....

I knew that, Bob, the question is HOW do I control more than one switch with one circuit. I did read the manual.

    Diligentman,
I saw on a french model railroad forum that wiring two pl-10 to one output would overload the LS150. so the relay solution looks like the best one.
I did heard about people using two PL-10W on the same output(The W is for low current consumption) but i'm not quite sure it works...

i hope this will help you.

Any suggestions on which relays to use?

I purchased a second LS150, tried to use the same power supply (transformer) to run both and found that I did not have one with sufficient current flow to run two switches at once. I have two transformers running them. I am pretty confident at this time the problem is not with the ls150 but with the transformer. When I can find a suitable one, 45va (3 amps at 15 volts) instead of the little MRC jobs I am using that have about 1/3 the current flow my guess is that I can then throw 2 switches with one ls150.
    Stay tuned.
