It would appear that you aren't going to get a good answer to your question here. You might try joining the Lenz group at Yahoo Groups or contact a dealer such as Litchfield Station or Tony's Train Exchange. Remember, you don't have to use a Lenz decoder. All NMRA decoders will work with all brands (Lenz, NCE, Digitrax, etc) of command stations. On my Digitrax layout I have use mainly NCE decoders. Sorry you couldn't get an answer here. David
What scale are we talking about? Kato makes the SD90 for both N and HO. Your answer will depend greatly upon the scale.
