Finally, there are some pictures available for the "New and Improved" Augsburg & Concord Railroad. Instead of posting them here and taking up bandwidth, I invite you to check out the ACRR web page (link in my signature). There are a couple of construction pictures, as well as some showing parts of the layout that have track complete, and the start of industries being laid out. All the main line and most of the branch is laid. Now, I need to obtain the captial funds needed for the building of the entire yard, which will serve more as visible staging than a classification yard. Comments, suggestions, and improvements are welcome...as is constructive criticism...however, if you took nasty pills today, don't... Jeff Augsburg & Concord R.R. Jeff, I have to tell you (sob) that I...(cry) am still grieving the loss of....(blow nose). ..(cry)... your base ball diamond. Don't worry...(cry)... I'll get over it...(sob)... in about ten years....(blow nose again). And don't wonder if the fish are scared away by the trains, ask to the two guys what they think...lol. Looking good, and I saw your MRC 2000. [ 21. November 2002, 02:21: Message edited by: rsn48 ]
Rick, Don't mourn, wail, grieve and cry. The baseball field "might" reappear. Right now, I don't know if there will be space, but I really liked the field too. As far as the MRC unit, I've taken a lot of flak from some of the wealthier folks who seem to think if you don't spend $400 on DCC, and purchase every single locomtive and every MT car that comes out you cant be a serious modeler. Well....first of all, serious is something that I am NOT!!!!! The C2K works for me. It runs the one or two trains that I need. When I need to double head a pair of locomtives, I simply program them to the same channel. How hard is that? It takes a simple Radio Shack power supply, and viola, instant running. Looking good, Jeff. You're shaming me into getting back to my scenicking which I have neglected for some time!
