As a modelrailroadign devoted site ower, I'm proud to annunce I've added several (not so long!) movies on some layouts. You can see the movie at www.plasticando.com I know the site is almost in italian language, but if you try, italian is not so hard to understand Hope you will enjoy!
Very cool! I'm going to d/l these movies when I get home from work! --or-- Très frais ! Je vais télécharger ces videos quand je deviens à la maison du travail !
I am Sorry but I don't know what format the movies are in. All I get is several hundred line of computer talk $%&&^$&)()(IU^%
you need the latest version of Windows Media Player for windows to view .WMV files. Here's a link to download it: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player.aspx
Thanks Alan and Jasonboche! For those interested in building a helix, I've added 4 movies about a helix my friend build and my group exposed (with a lot of success!) to a model show here in Italy. Enjoy!
Reason # 3812 on why not to buy a MAC. MAC has its place but for regular day to day use among average consumers, it's the minority. It may be worth visiting that web page I mentioned above anyway to see if MS actually released a version of Media Player for the MAC. Microsoft does that sometimes. Jas
I found the windows media player for Mac and succesfully downloaded it. I still get multiple lines of gibberish.
I liked some of your video's; didn't look at them all. What is the grade of the hill as illustrated in this video? 3.1M - incrocio di due lunghi treni merci
Rsn48... the inner track is quite steep: that's a 3.5% grade. The autor told me about his choose to use the steepest track for uphill bound train: this is because the force a dowhill train is going to apply to the truck mounted coupler will cause a derailment. So, if a train can't climb the helix, the same train will not derail when going downhill. He tested that if a train is able to climb the helix, there will be no derailments! Ciao, Giovanni
Telegrapher, alkcnw You get gibberish if you just click on the link yea? I do too as I use Mozilla Firebird. The trick is to download it - on MS it is right click, save as. Use the equivilent Mac sequence to download the movies first, then open them in Media player. Cheers Bruce
Hi, now I've added several (8) new movies... they are smaller than the first ones, so I guess it's easier to download them if you are using a low speed connection to the net. Hope you will enjoy! Ciao, Jgiovenni
