Dear modellers/railfans... last week end we got a layout exibition in Montichiari (Northern Italy) so we was able to take some shots on our sectional N scale layout. Here is the first I got from my friends. Others shots will arrive soon... Enjoy!!!
Thanks for your very positive comment! As I promised, here are some other shots of the layout. First, on the east coast, a single sd35 drills the spur at the refrigerator plant Here a couple of shark noses snakes down on the low "branch" line when a manifest passes on the main Detail of the layout...
Wow! Beautiful layout, especially the scenery. Love that "splashing" water on the pilings! Thanks for the pics, they make a great incentive.
Definitely! I also like that waterfront scene. If possible, would like to see more views of that area. Boxcab E50
Here are some others shots: The Low River area A train passing at speed Freight house details Trains meeting (actually, the 1/160 railfan was a bit too late....)
Boxcab, here are some others views of our layout's port district. As you can imagine, the town's name is "Able", and the module's name is "Port Able". Here we are not at the port, actually this is my module and it's set in the midwest... A PRR freight bihind a shark nose A-B set run in the cut. I know I need more and more vegetation on this point... Trees are still growing... (or I hope so!).
That's an interesting choice of names. I recall back in the 1960's, an article in Model Railroader magazine. An early modular layout with that same name. "The Port Able Lines." Boxcab E50
... I recall back in the 1960's, an article in Model Railroader magazine. ... Wow! Few years before we were born... I was born in 1969 and the module's author in 1974... I've never heard about that article(s) before! It' interesting to find thing that will never change!
An excellent series of pictures of a good layout. Some inspiration there for my new layout, thanks Giovanni
You're welcome, Alan I'm happy to give you (and to all others modellers who find the photos usefull!) some help! Here, again, others photos! and, the last for today, the success the layout had with children... but... there is a true "layout tour" in progress!!!
Nice layout! I'd love to see some BIG steam on that bad boy! NICE and great shots as well the water front like all said is great. with the water splashing up onto the pilings.. nice craft work an eye for detail! Good work!
Thanks Dante for your positive comments about our layout... I'm happy on that. I'm happy to read from you in Italian too..... It's something fun
