    Hi all,
I'm looking for some information.... mostly just a name.

I'm looking for the name that the Milwaukee Road used for the sub that was the CP "Latta" subdivision, and is now the INRD Chicago Subdivision. I know the line was once a MILW route (or I'm pretty sure it was) but I only have the name for it back into CP hands.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I thought it was the Latta sub under Milwaukee Road from Terre Haute south.

In the old "horse blanket" ETT days, it would have had an official name. "X&Y Subdivision" or "Between X&Y Subdivision" was usually how it read.)

No later than April 30, 1939, when they changed to the smaller format ETT, it just carried a number. At that date, it was the Fourth Subdivision of the Terre Haute Division. Old habits might have come forward in time, and it's old ID carried forward as a nickname.

Also, as the post-1939 years passed, Subdivisions were at times rearranged and renumbered.

Let me know if you need a Sub number for more recent years. I took a quick glance. They did indeed change.

I found a couple of track charts and time tables from the late 1960's for sale (based on the info you gave me already) for MILW on the Terre Haute division. Just knowing what the division was called is the help I needed! Thank you!
