Ztrack subscribers, this is your last chance to order our 2006 subscriber car. This years car is a Milwaukee Road PS2-cd hopper. The car is slightly different from previous FR PS-cd hoppers. It will have 18 ribs compared to 16 on other releases. A plate is on the right side of the car. The plate will have the slogan 'America's Resourceful Railroad'. The car will come equipped with MTL trucks and couplers. Two versions of the car will be offered. The first is an unweathered version. The 2nd is a hand weathered version. Cars will be made on a reservation only basis. The offer is only valid for Ztrack subscribers in good standing. Contact Ztrack off-line to order your 2006 subscriber car! For an image of the car, please see the following link. It is of an N scale version offered by Red Caboose. http://www.pacific-western-rail.com/product_images/103627_1.jpg Rob
Rob, I really hope that the weathering on the Milwaukee is better then on the Rio Grande's. The weathering on my 15 Grande's looks more like a fast shot of dust from a airbrush. If you see the weathering Jobs from Chris, Robert, Mike and others in this Forum there is a big difference. Don't get me wrong, I really like my Grande's but if I must pay 10 or 15$ more for each weathered Car it must be more then a shot of dust.
We have received requests for heavier weathering. I have passed this request on to Harald at FR. The unweathered version is $96.00. The weathered version is $108.00. Rob
Rob ... what you really should do is let us chose if we want both weathered or neither weathered ... that would make more sense than 1 weathered and 1 not. (then weathering can be an extra fee if you do not want to do it yourself)
Gordon, The 2 versions will have different roadnumbers. So if you want both, they will be unique. What we can't do is offering the two version unweathered, or weathered. This complicates FR's production and our book keeping. Sorry! Rob
Quote a price! I don't usually purchase a subscriber car but I do have an interest in diversifying my rollingstock. This is what I understand this years subscriber car being made! 1. The subscriber car is a Milwaukee yellow PS2 covered hopper from FR. 2. The car is in a single pack by itself. 3. We have a choice of two paint schemes. One is fresh paint while the other is a weathered version. 4. The fresh paint version has one roadnumber while the weathered version has a different roadnumber. 5. If a person purchases more than one fresh paint or weathered version car, the roadnumbers are the same, depending on the version chosen. But only two roadnumbers available. 6. The roadnumber for the fresh paint version can not be made weathered by FR, nor can the weathered version roadnumber be made un-weathered. 7. My head is hurting from all of this clarificationing of roadnumbers and I wish it would stop hurting now! 8. Ugh! 9. By the way, how much was the price of each version? 10. Thank you, I am going to bed now! And that's the way it is, September 14th, 2006. Good Night! Hobo Tim
Tim, Yes, I think you have it. Long story short, buy both versions and get all options! By the, Ztrack has more special runs planned for next year. We hope to have a surprise or two. Rob
Rob, AZL has annouced many new Items like the Bethgon Coal Porters, the Trinity (Thrall) Tri Level Auto Racks and the GP 7/9 but since many month we don't get a update. What happends?
Jurg, Sorry, but I don't have any new news. These things take time. I can tell you that all projects are moving forward. The coal porters are the one project we want to see out the door since they are already overdue. Once I have information that I can share publicly, I will let you know. Rob
