I saw a guy at the Timonium show who was selling some Lambert Associates HOn3 flex track and switches/turnouts (Code 70). I bought some flex for a $1 a piece and it looks all right but I was wondering about the switches/turnouts. He had some #4 and #6 going for $10 a piece. Anyone care to comment on Lambert track and switches/turnouts and if $10 is a good price for those #4s and #6s? Thanks in advance for any info/discussion. Andy Tetsu Uma
I used to use Lambert bulk c-70 rail to hand lay my track. I've never used any of their manufactured track or turnouts. I have not seen anything that Lambert makes lately. Are they still in business? I was happy with the rail.
I don't think Lambert is in business, not sure but http://www.memorytrains.com/results.asp?M=907 shows Lambert track (as I thought I remembered) was Shinohara, and list a #4, code 70 RH switch @ $10. Any help ? Bob C.
That will teach me to RTBD (Read the Box, Dummy). I turned the box over and it said "Shinohara." Thanks for finding that. I guess $10 is the going rate unless I can negotiate a bargain or something. They looked pretty good with a good taper on the points to sit flush. This was all old stuff he had never used but was clearing out. I'll look for him at the next show to see if I can get a better deal on the switches. Andy Tetsu Uma
