Vantuono, Editor-in-Chief Kyra Senese has joined the staff of Railway Track & Structures as Assistant Editor, reporting to RT&S Editor and Railway Age Engineering Editor Mischa Wanek-Libman. Senese graduated from Columbia College Chicago in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a magazine writing and editing concentration. Prior to joining RT&S, she completed a research internship with Advertising Age. Her journalism career began as copy editor/copy chief at the student newspaper, The Columbia Chronicle, where she worked her way up, eventually being named as the paper’s editor-in-chief during her senior year. She oversaw a staff of 40 and expanded the number of special issues the paper produced. Senese also serves as a mentor with the Columbia Links journalism program, which is a skills-building and leadership development program for youth and teachers in Chicago Public Schools.
