BLW has a few 70m left, all you need are the SD40 shells. Like Steve said waht holding you back.

You don't even need an SD40-2 shell for the cab and nose... the new LL/Walthers GP38-2 is a good match for Kato width shells.

Don't these look like SD60s with the more modern trucks? Is the SD70 longer? Different in some other way?

Spartan cab SD70, nothing like a SD60 except for maybe the cab.

Steve: As always, great work! While I prefer the old IC/ICG, your Deathstar units look great! Love the post-CN yellow sill stripes also! Kudos my friend!

thank you all for the comments... :)

one more thing, the model still has the original light and for that I have had to file down the frame on the front and to bend the original light tube (very carefully with heat) otherwise the light tube would not fit between the frame and the now much lower nose...

...on the next batch I will try to work with little SMD LEDs from Richmonds instead of the light tube (less or non frame milling and the ditchlights will alternate in DCC)

to avoid a bright illuminated cab interior was another challenge as well... ;)
(which could easier have been done with SMD LEDs as well)

    I think the 70 is about 1' longer than a 50 or 60.
