Well, this is a really dumb post but my mind got to thinking about this. When Kato comes out with the SD90, won't they have to change there box? Everything up until now has fit in the plastic box's they have. Also, the Superliner cars might also require a speacail box. The reason I brind this up is that I have a ton of Kato box's stacked neatly in my closet but now everything is going to be thrown off if these new box's are bigger. Oh well..... ------------------ Craig Martyn Best Looking Models Around Custom detailing AND N scale detail parts. http://users4.50megs.com/blma/
I'd bet the Superliners will come in the same type of case-box as all the other Kato Passenger cars. But who knows what they will put the SD80/90 in. Luckly, I won't have to worry about that because I don't need any. But those Superliners, OH YEAH! I have plans for at least four Genesis and twelve more Superliners. My Con-Cor SL fleet will probably look real shoddy next to the Kato's, but I won't retire them. I need all the Passenger cars I can get! ------------------ BNSF RAILFAN-TO-THE-MAX! It looks like Delxe Innovation's is ready with a PassengerPak© (MSRP $7). N Scale Supply has a nice page displaying them. According to the info in the Brooklyn Locomotive Works newsletter (not verified by Kato), the Superliner sets will be:
quote:
2 A-1 sets consisting of Coach 1/Sleeper 1 and Coach 2/Sleeper 2. There will be a B-1 set including Coach 3/Baggage 1. A C-1 set will include Coach 4/Coach/Dorm 1. And a D-1 set will include a Diner 1/Lounge 1.

Ed Harrison
Craig, Keep your stuff on the layout, and you won't have to worry about the box sizes ( Just kidding ). Yes, we may see the introduction of ANOTHER box size Oh well, as I tell one of my friends, how many "boxes" have you actually seen run at a show or club layout? Oh no! I think I have too much time too. I was thinking the exact same thing on Friday night before I picked up my AC4400CW. They will have to change there box. Won't the Superduper Liners have enough room to fit? I think it'll just be tight. What do I know though? Happy Railroading. In regard to my previous post above: This message was meant purely as sarcastic humor. Craig has done, and continues to do a lot of work for me, so he pretty much *always* has something of mine at any given time. I rib him a lot, and I figured that this topic had just about run its course, so I figgered I'd get him here, too. I apologize if this post caused any confusion. ------------------ Mark Weiher Trainboard Member #60
