Ok, so i had this idea come to mind, im gonna use kato unitrack w/ their roadbed on top of HO scale roadbed (edges sanded) to give it the height that i want for the mainline, and then in the nicer yard areas, use unitrack, and then in the spurs and under run areas to give it a ground level look, use just code 80 w/ N scale cork.... any thoughts on this? -Rob
theskunk, Kato Unitrack can work very nicely as you describe, and I did exactly that, put N scale Kato Unitrack on top of HO roadbed. From Vol 1 of my Community Webshots pages this link will show you exactly that here: community.webshots.com/photo/60614024/60988808DSqRND Admittedly the finalized work will not look as realistic as regular ballasted flextrack, but as it was my very first layout the Unitrack has worked out well.
