As we have heard in another thread Kato is FINALLY doing SD70MACs. One thing I wonder is why, with BN being the first volume buyer of the model at 300+, did Kato announce the BNSF repainted versions first? If they do the BNSF in green/cream former BN scheme, would it be hard to release a BN green/cream at the same time? It would be best with 2-3 #'s each road, with painted, unnumbered versions also available. The Kato contact forum on their web side is shut off till later this month. What I'd like, if that all interested BN freaks out here would send Kato an email requesting that BN is released the same time as the first run. I am prolly being greedy, maybe even selfish, especially since the wife has already given her blessing for 5 of these.....
I wondered wether the key to the mystery was in the "cab mounted headlight" comment, but the BN ones seem to have had a cab mounted headlight, it's the late BNSF ones that have a nose mount headlight as far as I can tell. Odd...especially as by doing it like this the second run presumably will consist of BN and BNSF variants of the same scheme? Sounds odd to me...
